Patty Burton Memorial Endowment

Patty Burton was originally from Sioux Falls, SD but moved to McKinney in 1972 where she helped her parents with their Pizza Hut Franchise and later owned a gift shop called P.J.‘s Stuff. In 1990, Patty became a valuable team member of Collin College. She was the Coordinator of the college’s Promise program which assisted displaced homemakers and single parents with mentoring, job training, financial planning and empowerment. Her loving nature and willingness to help others reached all corners of Collin County. Ms. Burton passed away in 1993 at the age of 54.
