Ruschhaupt Family Endowment

Al and Gerry Ruschhaupt moved to McKinney in 1947. The couple met at the Carpenter Paper Company in Fort Worth. Together, they owned and operated McKinney Office Supply, Plano Office Supply and several other sister stores. They provided jobs, mentoring and opportunities to many over the years, treating everyone with the utmost respect and dignity. Al served as mayor in the 1970’s and the city dedicated a soccer complex in his honor. Al passed away in 1998.
Gerry Ruschhaupt has been involved with several organizations including McKinney Community Development Corporation, First United Methodist Church, Collin College and and many others. She was the unofficial ambassador for McKinney newcomers and visitors. Mrs. Ruschhaupt was named Outstanding Citizen in 1995.
